Default Drum Room

Sup guys, since there's probably a lot of people here experienced in that situation, wanted to know which matterial u guys recommend me to use in a room to make my drum sound better, my drum used to be in my living room and since is quite big the drum sounded perfect, now I managed to get a small room maybe 9m^2 just for my drum. Its cool since now I dont have to entertain all the people that visit us cause they get excited at the sight of the drum and ask me to play all the time they want... but now the drum just sounds awful. Any ideas in what can I use? someone recommended me cork since is not too expensive and easy to find but does it does the work?
Thanks in advance guys!

Cork, foam, egshell cartons, carpet, pleated drapes, anything that will absorb sound and keep it from bouncing off the walls floor and ceiling.

i was able to find some padded moving blankets online for a vey good price. Think I paid less than $100 for a dozen and they help control the sound.

Well, if it`s your "man cave" or drum room, you could put egshell cartons. Actually, a polystiren sheet and egshell cartons would be the best combo. This may sound cheap and amateur-ish but i`ve used this myself and it makes wonders. It`s also a bit cheap, and can be fun if you do it yourself. If you don`t like the look of the cartons you could get a layer of cloth over them, and make a fake padded wall look, a` la "Piece Of Mind" :D
