OK, so I've been playing drums about 4 years as a hobby now. I even joined a band and did over a dozen gigs (here's a recent one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xCiDecTgP-I).
Being a perfectionist, when I hear myself, I only hear the mistakes and not much I play right. So almost every song I play sounds like crap to me.
Below attached a clip of a recording I did today in my 'home studio' along a drumless track of Play That Funky Music.
(For the people interested: that's a Tama Superstar Hyperdrive kit with Masterwork cymbals and a Pearl Chad Smith snare. You can watch the kick drum tuning over here).
So, what do you think of this? Shall I quit or continue?
Tuning crap? Playing crap? Everything crap?
