...

By rock out, am assuming you mean rock songs. The ones that rung me bell over the decades in no particular order:

Get ready -Rare earth

Foot Stompin Music- Grand Funk Railroad

Sweet Lorraine - Uriah Heep

Jumpin Jack Flash- Rolling Stones

Whipping Post - Allman Bros.

Highway Star- Deep Purple

Josie - Steely Dan

Soul Sacrifice - Santana

Proud Mary - Creedence Clearwater Revival

Purple Haze - Jimmy Hendrix

Couldnt Stand The Weather - Stevie Ray Vaughan

....

Bat country - Avenge sevenfold
do-do-do-do-do Heartbreaker - Rolling stones -goat head soup album

1st 2 songs on my ipod the stones tune made me want to play drums as a kid and Bat Country made be buy a another set after a 10 year lay-off ..made me want to play again!

Now, I learned this one from you! It must be due to there is something catchy on that guitar riff...thanks brother.

Ian did you know that was Jimmy Page playing guitar on that track? he was hired by the Kinks @ that time.

When Brad comes in after the guitar intro that groove is so fat and funky you could slice it and spread it on crackers.

Also one of my favorites are Thin Lizzy's Vagabonds of the Western World and Johnny the Fox meets Jimmy the Weed Check it out.

That's a drum groove that makes me wish for a 70's comeback. I'll tolerate polyester suits if people will play songs like this and start wearing afros again.
