3-ply w/ re-ring birch kits?

Mostly a shits and giggles sort of thing, but I was curious if there were any round edge styled birch kits out there? I always felt like birch would be a great tone wood, especially with the rounded edges.

I seem to remember something of the sort but it must be hidden in plain sight in my google search.

Thanks ladies and gents.

My only guess is look into Gretsch. If you strike out there, you can buy the shells you like and have Precision Drums (or someone equally capable) re-do the edges the way you want.

yes Premier 3 ply drums and I think also the very earliest Tama Superstars, mid to late 70's

Premier did re ring birch shell but I don't remember if edges were round ?

If you would be interested in having a kit built, I'd steer you toward
Bernie and Kenton at Stone Custom Drums.

Bernie purchased and refurbished all the tools and molds used to
manufacture the old Slingerland drums.

I played and cleaned up a 60's premier,3 ply birch with beech re rings, and the edges were more like my 60's Rogers ,sharper than a Luddy Slingy or Gretsch of that era,but rounder than the sharp 45 degree edge we see nowadays, kind of right in between, gives a warmer sound but a bit better tuning range than the vintage round over IMO.
