18 inch Floor Tom Rebuild

I'm thinking of a new Bass Drum head. what do you think?

I'd keep the cartoon bee. Classier and a little silly.

Sweet finish, very well done. I wish I had more ambition and a good idea for refinishing my 80's Swingstars.
 
If I had a bee kit, the bee would look something like this one.

Wooden BD hoops, t-rods, and claws are on the way and that should be it.

I love this stuff. Great job. I did similar with the 3 rack toms in my Yamaha RC kit that I slapped together from used drums I bought the the bay. One was gray, one was white and one red.
Now they're all black lacquer, from spray cans.

Bass drum hoops and claws came today. T-rods will be here tomorrow. The claws are chrome and not painted. Just sitting there for photos.
