A good read for Ludwig fans

Or for those interested in drum history design, development and marketing during the twentieth century is a book I just received in the mail yesterday: History of the Ludwig Drum Co. by Paul Schmidt. Really nice to have if you're interested in drum/percussion history.

Thanks for the tip. As of the last couple years I've been enjoying some the historical books pertaining to the aspect of gear and drumming. I'll give this one a look.

For a great read on vintage drums, read "Great American Drums....and the companies that made them" by Harry Cangany. It's out of print but is available as a Google e-book for $9.99.
