How do i upload pictures?

hey guys, i have tried a few time to upload some pics of my kit on the Show off your Ludwigs thread, but it says the dimentions are to large. I tried cropping the picture down to the specified length and width, but then it tells me that the file is too large and can't be over 12 KB or something. WHAT DO I DO???
 
12KB? That sounds wrong. It should be smaller than 100KB. Sometimes I get the "upload failed" message and then find the picture posted anyway. Just preview your post before you hit "submit" to see if it actually worked. If not, get it down to 72 dpi and under 100kb, it should work. Unless they're not labeled ",jpg".
 
1. Got to www.photobucket.com.
2. Go to upload photos
3. Select upload options
4. Select picture file size
5. When photo's uploaded look for the IMG tags for the photos you wish to post on here
6. Copy/paste said tags onto the post
 
I'm usually pretty good at this stuff but have not been able to post a pic here yet..I'll try Hellyck's step by step method too
 
As you're making your post:
1. Hit "manage attachments".
2. Hit "choose" and select the file you want to use.
3. Hit "upload".
4. Once the file has finished uploading, hit "close this window".
5. Finish your post. Hit "preview" to see what the picture is going to look like in the actual post.
