That article is an oldie, PT. I'm not convinced that all items on the list are valid. #1 to #4 are overstated and in some ways not all that important - more visual than aural.

#5 has merit:

Ringo changed the sound of recorded drums ... Ringo popularized a new sound for the drums by tuning them lower, deadening the tonal ring with muffling materials, and making them sound "closer" by putting a microphone on each drum.

George Martin and the rest of the band very likely had significant input here.

#6 & 7 Sure, he had strong tempo and great feel.

#8 What's with this? For a pro, maintaining tempo in a drum part is not an achievement, it's a requirement

#9 & #10 Yes, he was adaptable and had good ideas.

#11 & 12 Big deal.

#13 Sure, John liked his style.

For me, the main thing about Ringo were his inventive and catchy drum parts. He played a lot of drum ear worms. Love his playing but, gee, there's a lot of blather on the net lol
