You can think whatever you want, but in my opinion AA rapes AAX. AAX has no good hats or rides and all the cymbals are way too bright and annoying. I like the Xplosion and Dark Crashes, as well as the Chineses and the Splashes, but AA is overall better. The rides are good, the splashes are good, the hats are good and the crashes are godly. All in all, AA is better. Hope this helps!

He wasn't saying that price matters--he was indirectly saying that the AA's are better.

I am really surprised that this turned into a serious thread with such a title and question in the topicstart.

It's really up to you; do you like the brighter cymbals go AAX, if you want warm, great sounding cymbals buy AA.

If you like Sabian's, try the Legacy series - Dave Weckyl designed. I played a casino a while back and they had the Legacy hats on the house kit. Amazing!

you're sooo calling a 'monica' a 'he'.

OT: what do you mean by better? better sounding or better quality metal? If the latter, it would probably be the the one that cost more, but you still can't be sure. I'd suggest you take a hammer and try them..

If the first, try them with a stick and pick your fav :)

It looks like you guys prefer the Sabian line. As for me I prefer Zildjian. I'm using the A Custom High hit, crashes, ride and china and splash. Give them a listen, you may be very surprised at the quality of there sound and craftsmanship. They have been making cymbals for over 300 years!
