Default At Goodwill -- interesting deal

Hey guys. Looked for the shopgoodwill.com thread and couldn't locate it (so mods, move this thread if you care to).

If this is a legit piece of merch, here's a chance to get it cheap. Looks like a 5" deep Supra with a note from Jeff Porcaro on the batter head. Currently bidding way under what you would get a used Supra for.

I am not looking to get it, but I figured someone here might be interested. EDIT: Please note it is for pickup only in Indianapolis.

Hey, Al, nice find!

Too bad I'm not looking for a Supra anymore or I'd be watching that for sure for the next few days. That looks like a really decent drum that can be had for an even better price.

Indeed. The downside is that you have to pay attention to auctions that are "Local Pickup Only".

While my dream snare shopping list has a Supra on it, I'm not in the market now. I even have someone in the Indy area who could pick it up for me... sigh. I think I'd remove and frame the head as a collectible and play the snare till it fell apart, though. Hope someone out there is interested enough to snag it!

If anyone knows someone named Stephanie Jane, this is perfect. Stephanie Jones would probably enjoy this too. I have been watching this for a few days. The Indianapolis Goodwill always has very interesting drums. I wish I lived there. Sometimes.

I saw that too. The fact is, I'm not in the market for any new snares until the house is paid down. We're trying to do that in the next 5 years so that we'll have zero debt at retirement. The wife has assured me that once that last check clears, I will be let off the chain a bit for some plain and fancy drum shoppin'. And I'm pretty confident similar deals will be around when I get around to that.

She's a keeper and she's been really supportive of my purchases up to this point (like the Standards), so I'm going to be a good boy and play along.
