Beautiful, I normally wouldn't like a kit with an over the top finish but this one is different. Very, very nice.

Love the bravery! :)

A rack to hold two cymbals & a tom is a bit weird though, especially in combination with a tom mounted on a cymbal stand.

Aw, uniongoon, I think it looks good (and definitely accurate to the painting).

I think they used a Stealth Rack so as not to obstruct the floor toms.

I think it's beautiful, and from what I can tell, extremely well done.

I think what they really need is a version of Dali's The Persistence of Memory.

Nice to see Jenkins -Martin come out of the corner, yet again swinging. No rest for the weary there. What a great idea for a drum set finish.I normally don't like "buzy" finishes, and lean toward the more understated ones, but if this isn't a home run,it's at least a stand up double.Nice job guys, but I imagine it won't appeal to the OCD crowd.:):)

I, for one, love the finish. Interested in learning more about this builder. The drums look amazing but how do they sound? Kellers?

Just read about the drums--fiberglass. Curious as to their tone. Fiberglass drums from the 70s and 80s didn't interest me.

OK, it is growing on me, would look great on a soft lighted stage.

On another topic, I checked out the video of The Gunn guy demoing your snare. Nice, that dude has one of the smoothest double stroke rolls I have heard. Is the colour on your snares moulded into the shell? It is like a pastel, but I can see the stripes of the rolled fibreglass, I believe that is what I see there.

Impressive finish, really fancy looking. A bit too elaborate for me but I do love the drums you folks are putting out. I heard a video that Jerry posted in Dunnett's board of a guy playing a full kit and they just sounded incredible. I really am fascinated by synthetic drums but I'm such a tightwad the closest I'll ever come is probably a used set of acrylics.

I saw on the website that there are sparkle finishes in the possible future. Would that be a paint finish of actually embedded in the fiberglass? (fibREglass for Uniongoon).

Do you mean you like it or that it looks like Van Gogh?... because Starry Night is an actual painting by Van Gogh :)

I was purposely ambiguous. It does look like Van Gogh, that's what I was trying to say. Right, starry nights, Van Gogh painting, duh. It is an interesting looking finish. I can't decide if I like it on a drum set or not. I wouldn't get it for myself, but it's kinda cool looking for someone else's set. I think I'd like it more if all the drums looked like the first floor tom.

Yeah, the 14" (i'm assuming) looks like a cool stand-alone finish as well as part of the 'layout' of the piece. Usually I'm not a fan of the whole "kick reso matches shell finish" thing but it looks good here!

I wonder what they paid for the licensing fee? Got to be a pretty penny unless it's in the public domain.

I am in Canada, here it is spelled "fibre" so "fibreglass". We also have a "U" in colour.

Like all of our finishes...the sparkle finishes are embedded in the resin.
They are the same color all the way through. We will have gold, silver, blue, red, green as well as some others. They do not look like your typical sparkle/glitters. You can also the the "grain" of the spun fiberglass roving. We will have examples of this at the Chicago Show in May

Those in the commonwealth spell it 'fibre', most sovereign folk spell it 'fiber'.
