Default Udu recommendations

Hello Drummerworld-

I am looking to purchase my first Udu drum and would like some advice. I don't plan on playing it with any bands except for occasional unplugged situations in my apartment. I'd really like something that I can take in the car on long trips or maybe out to the park to play on a bench. The more abstract designed Udus are very cool sounding & looking, but they're probably more of a future purchase for me. The LP Museum Series has my attention at the moment, but I just thought I would ask for others input first.

Thanks!

I've messed around with a couple Udu's before. I've thought about getting one just to jam on.

This one from Mienl seemed pretty nice.

There is also the Claytone line from LP.

And in case you haven't heard of him, check out Brian Melick for some inspiration.

Thank you both for the replies!

I've seen the Tri-Tone once before, and I thought the idea of having a head on it was a pretty cool feature. The Claytones from what I can tell seem like a positive choice as well.

@harryconway Is there anything specific that you liked about that one over your others?

It's all about tone. And to some extent, volume. I tried a few different types, and wound up loving the LP.

Any LP seems to be most favored.
