Default Help Needed Adjusting Yamaha Yess Mount Drums

Looking for some advice on how to get the best angle for my new RC customs. I have on bass drum 12X10 and 13X11. On stand to left I have an 8X8 and a 10X9.

I am having trouble adjusting toms so they are in comfortable reaching position since fixed bass drum toms are bigger and moved in closer.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Doug

The two left hand small toms are going to have to be played Neil Peart style. Raised up over the hi hats. Check his videos and you''ll see what I mean. Four toms up is difficult. Three can be challenging. One other style may be Keith Moon with no hats at all. You may also have to lose the bass drum mount and and use a double tom mount and move the two larger toms to the right. But the way they are shown it has to be tough.

Never mind, I just noticed you had two floor toms. Grunter said what I was thinking, move 'em all to the right but that would put that second floor tom a mile away.

Sorry I can't be of much help, but the depth of your toms are killing their placement opportunities. I only have a 10" x 8" and a 12" x 9" floating over top of my 22" Yamaha bass drum.

Why aren't the first two toms on the bass drum and then the 2nd two on the stand?
I've never messed with YESS mounts so I couldn't help with angles... Sorry

That's one option you could play. The 8 and 10 over the kick, the 12 and 13 on the stand, over the floor toms, on your right.
Another would be, 8, 10, 12, left of the hi-hat. 13 off the kick drum, and your 2 floors, right.
With my Ludwig kit, I have no rack toms mounted above the kick, just the hi hat and ride cymbal. So I'd split your drums (and assume your floors are 14 and 16) 8, 12, 14 on my left, and 10, 13, 16 on my right.
