Hi all

Does anyone have any transcriptions of any of Earl Palmers work ?

I.e Mellow Saxophone etc etc

If you go to the Earl Palmer page http://www.drummerworld.com/drummers/Earl_Palmer.html
or get the New Orleans Drumming DVD with Earl Palmer you will get an idea of how he approaches the groove, and that should help you do transcription of them. It's similar to "I'm Walking."

I have that book and actually "Mellow Saxophone" is in it. There are other transcriptions of Earl Palmer as well.

You welcome. another tidbit about Earl Palmer is that he played on the last Mamas and Papas album. I haven't heard it; but it may be something interesting to check out if you get a chance.
