Sure is pretty. I wonder how it sounds compared to other aluminum snares. I'm sure the Acrolite crowd would love to know.

Something makes me want to say "amazing".

Looks like a modern Supra.

I did a Youtube search and Cherryhill Custom Drums also sells an aluminum one piece snare called The Aviator. Could be fun to watch the law suits.

Reinventing the wheel... no seam, ooh. I bet it doesn't sound soooo much better if at all than a 45 year old garage sale Acrolite.

Probably not, but don't you LOVE those lugs? Those are absolutely beautiful designs. I like the shell form, too. Just a lovely drum.

Love those "sideways Imperial" lugs.

The lugs look a bit too much like Ludwig, IMO:

Kinda funny, I came to this site today to see if anyone knows much about the British Drum Company and was about to post a thread. It’s a nice looking snare, and I really like the look of the lugs. Very Ludwig like, but just a little classier looking. I have my eye on one of their Brass snares, called the Bluebird. I’ve been saving my pennies for a nice new brass snare, but can’t find much info about the company and if they’re worth the price tag or not.

How much does this drum sell for? The reason I ask is because it looks very much like an Acrolite, which can be had fairly cheaply. Don't get me wrong, I dig the look of this drum - even though the lugs are VERY close to Ludwig's- but there are already a ton of aluminum snares on the market. What is BDC bringing new to the party?

An updated copy of a Premier PD6021 from 43 years ago. Seamless AND the original "Imperial" look a like lugs. An amazing drum that sounds as good if not better than the dime a dozen Supras. Unfortunately I have to sell it to pay for my grandson's funeral. :( JW

They both can cook, but the younger one is much prettier.

That’s horrible to hear. Sorry for your loss (not the drum).
