Default Should I wait to get new drum heads?

I was thinking of changing my drum heads, I want to get some coated emperors (batter) and clear ambassadors (resonant), but NAMM is this week, what if Remo releases new/better heads? Should I wait till after, I was planning on buying them tomorrow, but would it be better to wait till after NAMM? Because I know for sure Remos releasing one new head (ebony emperors) e-panda (Bruno Mars's drummer) is using them right now on tour .

Anything being shown at NAMM won't be available for you to buy until at least May. That's what NAMM stands for: Not Available, Maybe May.

Just get what you need as far as heads and sticks go. You're gonna need more in May anyway.

Unless you are in dire need of new heads, I would wait.

Sometimes the new products don't show up until August. That was the case last year with the new Ludwig Atlas mounts.

If you're looking at Emperors, I doubt anything earthshattering is going to come out in the next few weeks. The Emperors will be more than fine (in the word of Tony the Tiger: they'rrrre grrreat) until you're able to get something else.

Newer and shinier stuff may come out after NAMM, but Remo is never going to replace Emperors with anything. If that's the head you want, go get it.

Go ahead and get them. I love emperors over ambassador's (tho I use clear). Nice choice of heads, man.

Stick with a winner. Don't wait to be a pioneer testing new gear (whenever it may come out). Let others get the arrows in the back.

Buy the heads you know. Play and enjoy them. If Remo releases new products sometime this year then read about the experiences others have with them then decide if you want to put your money down.

In the mean time your kit will sound great!
