Generic snare or not?

Stopped by my local pawn shop this afternoon and came across this snare selling for $50 with a carrying bag included. I figured I'd keep the bag and just resell the snare to make back some of the cost. No badge, but there was a hole that looked like it could have had a badge at some point. Folks at the shop had it labeled as "Generic Snare", but it seemed put together well enough that I thought I'd see if anyone can ID it or confirm that it's likely generic. Size is about a 14x5 or 14x5.5, and it has eight lugs.

It is a Hohner Snare drum. Cheap student snare. I have one and it sounds OK with the right heads. I paid $25 for it. Sounds like a steel snare.

It's also a Percussion Plus, Cannon, CB700, Pearl - and the literally dozens of names it's carried since the 1970s. This truly is THE generic snare drum. The pawn shop could not have labeled it more accurately. But don't dismiss it because of the generic origins. These little drums can sound quite nice when set up properly.
