An extended intro! With Drums!

Hi!

So, a little bit more more about myself and some drum prons.

I live in regional Victoria/Melbourne in Australia, I've been playing about 15 years (I'm 25). First started playing with others in school, by way of stage bands and orchestra then many things followed, I've never not been playing, I can happily say. Now all I need is someone to pay me to do it. I used to be all "metal metal metal"... and while I still like mathy stuff like Animals as Leaders, DEP - I mostly like groovy stuff these days - Jojo Mayer is probably my favourite drummer atm!

I'm currently playing in a few different outfits/projects and weird solo things, some of which can be found at the link below... Different projects/collabs are marked. It's all W.I.P. so be nice :D

Have a drum cover too!

As I said in my introduction, I've been reading the forums here for ages and thought I should probably take the plunge and sign up! Glad to be hear, 'cause drums are awesome... and such!

Anyway, pictures...
Studio kit is a Pearl Masterworks. 4-ply Maple with re-rings, BRL lugs, die-cast hoops - on which I use remo coated emperors / diplomats (reso) - Sizes are; 24x14, 14x6.5, 13x9, 16x16, 18x18.

My gigging kit is a Tama Starclassic Performer (2003) - 100% Birch - which was a 7-piece but I've sold a few drums and it's now 4 - 22x18, 14x5.5, 12x10, 14x12
Here's a live song from a band I play with featuring my old set-up

Cymbals are all Sabian HHX/Legacy/Evolution/AA (I recently switched from Paiste/Zildjian - Pretty happy)

Hey, welcome to the forum - It's definitely a great place to be if you love drums!

Beautiful kit you've got there! Can't wait to get my hands on a nice pearl kit eventually ;)

the cover was great and your drums sounded awesome

Thanks Grace!
Yes, I couldn't be more happy with the MW - I've played lots of boutique kits too, but this kit is perfect for me at the moment.

Nice videos btw!

It looks good and sounds good. I like Pearl drums and Sabian cymbals too. When I get it together, I will buy a Pearl floor tom, and then I will have a Pearl set. Peace and goodwill.
