Great links for drummers

Drummer wanted for 1 yr old band with genuine label interest from several record companies.

Tours and festivals dates booked for summer and beyond.

The style is a mixture of drum n bass, hip hop, reggae, soul and rock. Basically mixing the rhythmic intensity of modern urban music with the more melodic features of other genres.

Only the very best need apply. This is a fulltime position in an extremely hard working and ambitious band. The group is currently based in manchester, but spends most of it's time on the road.

My favorite of course...no brown-nosing intended...has got to be drummerworld.com. I can't count how many hours I've spent on this site. It sucks my life away. Where else can you watch masters, learn their techniques, etc.

I do like Youtube as well for checking out grass-root videos of unknown drummers, checking out new products and how they sound as well.

I just found a website called "Concepts in Drumming." cidrumming.com

It looks like it is Fran Merante's personal website ...a drummer on Drummerworld .
Not only does he have some great music and video files of great playing, he has tons of material on improving your drumming. I also found a lot of his instructional videos on youtube. Some great playing examples and some great ideas / conceptsto inspire you to take your playing to the next level. I hope to check out more of his videos tomorrow and hopefully work on some of the material this week.

I'm gonna suggest my own site. www.MikeVeny.com.

I've been tirelessly writing articles on technique and how to approach different musical styles for months. In addition, I am working on some other free downloads for drummers and teachers. This will include exercises and routines.

Today, I just finished this article titled, How to Practice Drumming for Fast Results.

Let me know what you think.
