Drums and folk guitar (including blues, rock and other non-classical forms) and the only instruments I know of where left handed people play them differently. I've never seen a left handed piano or saxophone. Most musical instruments require near equal facility with both hands. At least at an advanced level of proficiency. Most right handed drummers struggle developing facility in their left hand, just as a left handed drummer would struggle initially to develop facility in their right hand. Maybe because entry level drumming emphasizes ride patterns on the right hand, it seems that leftys are at a disadvantage. Get to the point of trying to play a blues double shuffle or jazz samba, and the rightys are dying because their left hands can't keep up.
