Stewart Copeland's "Sacred Grove"

Beam Me Up Scotty

Now this is cool. I don't know how many other people are aware of this, but here goes.
I just discovered that Stewart Copeland has this ongoing Sacred Grove project, in which he invites or has random musicians call him up and come over to jam. He records it all, and even splices sessions together. I think this is both very interesting, and highly entertaining.
Here's Copeland himself explaining it all in DRUM! Magazine:

And here's the link to the video which he mentions. Man, is this stuff ever cool!

Cheers, and enjoy!

Oh my gosh. Coolest thing I can think of.

What a great project !

I'd love to have a place and friends like that to jam and record with.
Maybe in my second life.......

I second that emotion; that has always been my fantasy dream. Some times I will hear a busker in the subway and wishing I could say" Come on over to my space; we can play and back you up with my friends and record it as well" Live From Daryl's House has that sort of vibe as well. My drawback is that I do not own a house.

I love Live from Daryl's House! My ex turned me on to that, her being a singer and all, it made sense. I do check back every now and then to catch up; great stuff!
