Drum heads question from a newbie

Evans' website has some basic construction terminology sprinkled in with the descriptions of their heads, as well as sound clips of most of their heads in action.

It's always nice to reinforce the reading about how something is built differently with a sound clip that allows you to hear how each head's construction translates into a different sound.

Of course, if you have any specific questions I know there's plenty of people around here willing to help too...

:)

Google "The Drum Tuning Bible" by Prof. drum. Take an hour to read it. A good description of most diff head types adn sound they produce. Also a great ref on how to tune drums effectively.

Find a teacher that can teach you to tune or a drum tech. If not your journey will long and expensive.
