Not a Pie.......

Yamaha did it right when they came up with the Recording Customs. 30+ years now. Sweet kit. Aydee will be........we'll see, soon enough.

........right here! Harry knows me too well.

I thought you were a DW man.. I personally don't particularly like the sound of the DWs I've played.. ( If you think I'm just a Yammie zealot, I also happen to love Gresch Renowns, Pearl References, Sonor jungle.. ).

RCs are Yamaha's all-time greats, IMO. How do you rate them with your other kits. I'd love to know.

P.S. EDIT- sorry, its obviously PPs not DWs. I stand corrected

Nice kit man. I had a 9000 Rec series and they were great drums. Dude I think you have a serious problem ( too many drumkits ). Why don't you open your own drum shop. GM drums, Now that would be cool.

Build quality is great. The only thing I would change is the floor tom leg brackets....need a key to adjust legs. The RC is the king of the birch world. If your going to go birch, go RC. Even though the Pork Pies and the Yams really different animals, I give the tip of the hat to PP only because it truly is an a la cart company but Yamaha for a mass produced kit is at the top otherwise.

That explains it all :). Have you ever put them all together to build a giant Monster-set, that would make some funny pictures...

Great idea ....yeah,....set them all up in a big area, garage, outside on a nice day, whatever, and pic them all and call it ...drumpornorgy!! LOL

You must get a workout just moving these drums around. Since this is the same backdrop as the pork pie thread...

I have a climate controlled garage I keep the drums in, all in cases. These are the new kids so they are still in the house. Pork Pie will not be a gig virgin after this weekend, and the Yamaha kit has only done about 6 shows so far.

...very nice.

A 24,16,13 RC kit is number one on my wish list.

Once again, very nice.
