Default My DTX Kit!

Hello,

After some research and suggestions from people here in the forums (especially Scorch Whammin & Chris Snow... thanks guys), I've acquired & completed the purchase of my first electronic kit.

Its a Yamaha DTX. The kick is the older RHP, the pads are the newer silicon DTX (12 snare, 10 rack, 12 floor), the cymbals & module are from the 560k series.

Ultimately I purchased a 560k bundle and swapped out components to my preference. Only components I kept from the bundle were all cymbal and hi-hat pads, and the module itself. I love the bigger pads versus the smaller ones that come with the 560k.

I plan on using this kit with my new Pro Tools rig, and using BFD or Superior Drummer for the sounds. I also will add a multipad triggers for arrangement purposes, with each pad triggering a sequenced section of a song in my PT rig.

Attached is a pic of the kit (minus the multipad).

Thanks again for the suggestions.

Nice!

How do these new silicone pads feel?

I like that kit a lot. I think it looks way better set up on stands than on the stock rack.

Thanks guys! The silicon pads feel amazing... the best and closest to real drums in my opinion. Using real stands took up less space than the rack, being that the kit is so small. I'm really stoked over the kit so far.

I have to sell this kit unfortunately. Anyone out there who can help me appraise it?

Thanks!
