Surprising that his name has not come up before. A fascinating guy and a groovier drummer you could never find. Great pocket and great feel. A real loss and many unexplained issues behind his death.

What I had heard, and this is of course, rumor, was that Yogi was becoming more and more depressed as his time playing with Luther Vandross went on, Yogi had tried his hand at being a singer (like Luther), and wasn't successful at it. So playing for Luther maybe amplified his depression since he himself couldn't be a singer. It was a tragic loss.
