Default Emmanuelle Caplette playing jazz brushes

Well this was certainly a different arrangement than I remember Genesis performing... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JuNH...xWXZEQ&index=2

I actually like that. And I do think the young lady has a career in front of her.

She's a great drummer, love watching her, and the smile...
Does she come from a marching background? I've seen a YT clip where she plays the snare and do some stick tricks that's really good, makes me want to practice the rudiments.

That was great. Love watching her play. However, with all the "happiness" on display, I swear it felt Disneyized. (This is a slightly derogatory term we cast members use to a degree ;)

I kept picturing the rat from Ratatouille singing the song.

It's nice to know she's also having to take cheesy cover/function type gigs to make ends meet.

Never turn down a gig. I could use some cheese.

Interesting post.
I have to say there is an intangible yet obvious line between morose (gloomy/ill tempered) and cheesy (corny/blatantly inauthentic). Where that lies is up to the audience and their expectations, no?

Yeah. And I am one of those audience members. It crossed that line for me. You're right, there has to be balance and I'm willing to bet those who never experienced the "Disney" thing or never knew a kid in show choir would probably think that was ok. Or, maybe another example would be attending a spirit camp for cheerleaders?

I'm a bit of a Genesis fan and I have to say that was rather good!

I liked it a lot.

Unlike Mo, I didn't picture a rat but rather a copycat haircut and voice of Mr Collins, not that it spoiled my enjoyment :)

That was really fun to watch! My brushes were delivered yesterday and now I am even more excited to try them. :)

Very cool, nice interpretation of the song.
I used to live right across from that bar back in the late 70's;
it has been fixed up quite a bi that is for sure.
