Sadly, Elvis's drummer has left the building.

DJ's playing on Hound Dog got me started on drums as a 5 year old. Hound Dog has one of the greatest drum parts and one of the best guitar solos ever. The perfect Rock N Roll record. So many great musicians were inspired by those early recordings. Not many still around from those days. Possibly one or two of the Jordanaires are still around.

DJ's Gretsch Drums are still out there with original "skin-with fur" resonant BD head.

Well now, that was fun! Good one J-Boogie. Luv the moment when Joni walks back on stage holding that cigarette, and resumes singing.

Great career.

An even more sobering thought now is, very few left of that generation. Who's still with us?

Off the top of my head, I've got The Killer. And James Burton.

Who else?
