When are we gonna have a drumming olympics?
Infact, I reckon we should just get drummers in a boxing ring to battle by doing rudiments on each other's skulls.
I hate all this pretentious competition nonsense.

I guess it is an ok contest, but they should really hire and pay judges. To ask the general public to watch 45 or so minutes worth of videos and vote is asking a lot.

Also, by not having judges, most of these turn into popularity contests.

Exactly. I bet there is a way to trim the beginning/ending of each of the videos. I agree with you on the judges part. Maybe get 5 big names to cast their vote...Then it would be similar to "The Voice". But, at least this is something positive for drummers...not enough chances to share their talent.
