Bill Ludwig III and new Ludwig kickstarter snare drums

I'm not sure but 55 people donated 284.55 dollars each, on average, for funding. And the estimated delivery was in 2016.???
 
B3 finally launched his wood-shell kits at NAMM 2018, but not much reaction from anyone yet. I didn't think the drums were out of the ordinary, the main selling point is that they're made by an actual Ludwig, but his name alone isn't going to be enough to get them off the ground. A new drum line need to be spectacular to gain attention, and that's a tall order in today's market.

It's going to be tough to capitalize on the nostalgia for the Ludwig name when the actual Ludwig company is working so hard capitalizing on it themselves. This isn't like the new Rogers Dynasonic where it's filling an actual hole in the market.
 
I saw them at NAMM.

They exist.

But, really, nothing more than just another drum company IMHO. There was nothing that made them stand out in the sea of other companies trying to do the same thing.
