How should i finish this off?

Okay, for those who have seen my drum refinishing thread, it still isnt done. due to the bass drum pretty much. Well i was thinking about getting some wood hoops for it but i dont know if want to spend 50 - 60 bucks on a pair of hoops.

the reason i would get new ones is because the old on were black with a red wrap and the black wouldnt exactly go with the dark brown i dont think.

what do you guys suggest i do for it? Should i keep the black hoops or go ahead and get wood ones.

I was possibly thinking finding some really thin long strips of wood and staining those to match and wraping those on the old ones. any ideas on where i could find something like this?

Can you strip the old ones or are they plastic? Peel the wrap off and refinish them.

i can peel the wrap off. any idea where i could find long thin strips of wood? craft store?

You probably have to look online for wood veneer. You may have to cut the strips.
