How many millimeters have a vintage ply?

I think most of the better drums had 3 plies, but the mm may have varied.

The shell thickness did vary quite a bit between 3,5 and 6 ply vintage drums. The common ply layup was mahogany/poplar/mahogany or maple. The poplar plys were thicker than the inner and outer plys.Overall thickness was usually between 3/16 and 5/16"
