E Street saxophonist dies.

Legendary saxophonist Clarence Clemons died today of complications from a stroke he suffered back on June 12. He was 69.

The E Street Band loses a big part of their group.
 
Wow, really hate to hear that. He was such a talent and a great entertainer. I'm not a huge fan of Bruce but always enjoyed listening to Clarence whether solo or with Bruce. Sad day.
 
HE WAS SUCH A HUGE TALENT WITH AN EVEN BIGGER HEART. I saw bruce & the e street band on thier big 1984 tour to back up the born in the U.S.A. album. Not only was he the perfect counter to bruce & stevie van zant, after the show in Philadelphia we were hanging out at a club across the street and who walks in but the big man himself! he was very cordial and talked to us for several minutes. I will never forget meeting him. And some might know his work outside of the e street band, such as billy joels "it's still rock & roll to me" and Jackson brownes :you are a friend of mine." what a great loss. R.I.P. big man and thank you for all the great music and a little of your time.
