Yeah..lol
OKAY so heres the situation.

Right now I want to get an 18" Wuhan China, now I need a new stand to go along with it. I want a stand that is very sturdy and strong that will pretty much last me forever. I dont need the best of the best, but just something that will do the job and be sturdy and not break.

So what should I be looking at ?

Also, same goes for a ride cymbal. What stands should I be looking at?

Also, boom stands.

THANKS

Pearl 900 series hardware will be more than you'll ever need. Otherwise check the offerings from DW, Tama or Yamaha....all make quality hardware.

How much do you wanna spend?

Well heres the thing.

I have like 1,000$ left

I'm 15 and ive been getting new stuff. I got a DW 3000 Double Pedal, new pearl eliminator hi hat stand, and before i get new cymbals, (because those u can always get, and those u take your time and choose what you like ) i want to get good stands that I wont really have to worry about in the future.

I was actually looking for/towards 900 series but I couldnt find seperate stands.

EDIT** NVM im an idiot http://www.guitarcenter.com/Pearl-900-Series-Cymbal-Stand-104494976-i1395762.gc

Yes mate.

Or this: http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/Pearl-B900-Boom-Stand?sku=491337 or this: http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/Pearl-BC900-Boom-Cymbal-Stand?sku=491336 (this one will act as either a straight stand OR a boom stand.)

It's worth noting that there is a heap of top quality, durable hardware out there. I'm not specifically highlighting Pearl hardware for any other reason than that I'm familiar with Pearl's gear. There's a heap that will do the job just as well.......but this is the type of stuff that will suit your needs.

I'm assuming you're from the US. $1000 will get you some top quality stands and will leave plenty left over for good cymbals too.

Oh yeah, You could buy a nice hardware pack, a high end cymbal pack, an extra stand and still have $ left if you do it right.

Pearl has a lifetime warranty on ALL of their hardware. the cheapest I'd go would be the BC-900. It's sturdy and reliable. I had one for 8 years now and it holds like the day I bought it. Pearl's a little pricier than other brands but you literally have it for life.

i have had Sound Percussion stands that were 25$ each and Yamaha Boom Stands 50$ for 6 years now and they have been prefect, no problems at all and i'm a hard hitter

Be sure to get yourself an Aquarian Cymbal Spring (the heavy yellow one) for that Wuhan china. Wuhans are great, but they can be a bit on the brittle side. I've had mine mounted on a Cymbal Spring since shortly after I bought it, and it's held up now for over 15 years.

working musician know that yamaha hardware last forever , and some of them are very sturdy and not that heavy which makes them grate for giggig , dw stands are also very good but , much heavier
