Sanitized....

Music has been "sanitized"... They have killed off all the little germs that anything that is alive is covered with.

Like listening to Tupperware...

lol

Yes, indeed. Sanitized is the one word that sums it all up.

Faux excitement.

Standardised emotion.

Cliché riddled techniques.

Everything running on rails, without the slightest deviation or hint of real meaning.

All very dystopian. Oh dear.

I suppose we could be a bit more chirpy in our outlook and say that the 20th century really was a golden age and we're lucky to be at least experiencing
the fade out to that era.

Now, where's my Soylent Green, I'm hungry.

The last time I checked, there was a plethora of wonderful music available outside of the commerce-sphere. The only challenge is that you actively have to look for it, rather than accepting whatever the machine spoon feeds to you. I realize that this can be a PITA at times, but ever since alternative became mainstream there are few outlets for alternative-alternative (AA) music.

Saw GoldenOak in a Burlington lamp shop a couple weeks back. Divine.

If you just need a LoFi fix so you can kick over a table without feeling awkward... There's always the Thermals.
