WHICH KIT IS BEST???

I am on a budget of max. £900. I am looking for the best possible kit for that price, wether that means a shell pack or full kit even with hardware, is now up to what you write.
Here are the key issues:
It must be a 6 piece (with a rack tom, not with two floor toms)
It should PREFERABLY be either Yamaha, Ludwig or Tama.
And it should be the best possible kit for the budget.
I am open to other brand suggestions, but would prefer any of the three named above.
Many thanks for your help in advance.

Cheers, guys,
Much appreciated!!

Yamaha Maple Custom or Ludwig Classic Maple

If you'd be interested in a different brand, I'd highly recommend looking into the Gretsch Brooklyn series

Gretsch Brooklyn is way out of line for the budget stated. However a Gretsch Catalina Maple would be in the range.

I'm a Yamaha guy, so you know what my pick will be...;)...imo the sound and quality of yamaha is a hard combo to beat...just my 2 cents...

That's about $1400, US. Check your local prices for a Yamaha Tour Custom.

Check out my Yamaha 9000 thread. I got the whole kit including two cymbal stands for £900/£950 excluding a snare. So bass drum, 3 rack toms and a floor tom. Look around the used market and grab a bargain as soon as you see it!

George.
