Lubricant for Drum Screws

Hey everyone,

I came across another post, someone asking about what they use to lubricate their screws so I thought I'd share what I found out. A product called "Krazy Grease" is a lubricant that leaves a permanent thin film on metal and prevents it from rusting. To make a long story short, I heard about this stuff and contacted the company. The guy who responded is a drummer and told me that you put this stuff on your screws, work it in with your fingers and then wipe off any excess grease. He said it will keep them lubricated and prevent it from rusting. Anyway, most screws come with some type of lubricant when new with a set but I've used this on both my kits and it works great. Only drawback is that it comes in a one pound jar so you will barely use any for your screws and have lots left over. So, I also used this on my squeaky door hinges too and gave some to my buddy for his trailer bearings. ha.

Anyway, just thought I'd share this if anybody had problems with sticking or rusting screws.
