Things that make you :)

I was at the local GC yesterday killing some time and sat down on one of the demo sets.

Played a couple of grooves for a minute or two and there was another guy in the store that started clapping and gave me an unexpected thumbs up.

I love an appreciative audience even if it's only of one.

That’s awesome. Here’s my short story - I’m a total newb to drumming and a few months ago I was playing around on a Roland e-kit at a local music store. A nice old lady approached me as I finished and she said “You sound really good”. I think I smiled the rest of the day!

Just had another fan encounter yesterday at the Emeryville GC.

Some down on their luck guy who was watching me play on a new Yammie set came up to me smiling and asked me to play some more.

He said my playing made him feel happy and wished he had my chops cause he'd be playing every night.

Here I am feeling depressed about only being able to afford maid service once a month, and this guy was probably living on the street or in a homeless shelter.
