I'm wanting to bring and leave my second kit to our band's practice space and my concern is that, at the moment, there is no central heating system there. It's an insulated space and until they get the furnace installed they are using a few plug-in heaters while they are in the shop (Its a work space by day, 5 days a week).
Currently the temperature has been hovering around the 32F (0C) mark and has gone as low as 14F(-10C). While I don't think the outside temperature is reflected indoors as it insulated, I would assume it can still get quite cool.
So my question is, at which point is it too cold where it becomes a danger for the drums? As we practice during work days, the temperature will be brought up by the time practice rolls around, so the drums will be acclimatized when it's time to hit them. Will the daily rise and drop in temperature be problem for them? I'm not concerned about the heads.
