Thanks longrun.. however...
after listening to the comparison between the Power Center Reverse Dot, the G14, the G2 and the G1 on drumeo's youtube channel with my headphones on, and cranked up and watching them in no particular order about 15 times each, I think I'm going to go G2 for the cast steel snare and the Power Center Reverse dot (just to change things up a bit) on the PDP.
I was going to try the G14 or the G12 (of which they do not compare) on my cast steel snare, but after hearing Jared say that Evans considers the G14 to the their loudest head, I really don't think it's a good match for what's supposed to be the loudest type of snare drum..lol. So, G2 for that one, plus I like the deeper tone the G2 gives off.
