Default 5 Month Drum Player, quick question

Hi Guys,

Been playing for 5 months for those interested here is my kit(s) (one electric and one very crappy acoustic but nice cymbals)

Now, question my good chums! When you buy a tom pack drum head kit such as this:

does it come with the bottom head AND the top head?

My actual drums are cheap chinese POS. I plan to buy the pearl vision series soon enough but i thought in the mean time some new heads would tie me over and would make the kit sound better when i try and sell it off. Any comments? Will it make it sound much better or is that a bit to ask (the heads are pretty dented at the moment.. I dont think they have been changed since i got the kit!)

Welcome to DW!

New drum heads will definitely make your drums sound better. Tuning is also very important, but it's hard to get the hang of. You can probably find some good videos about tuning on youtube.

That certain head pack only comes with the top (batter) heads. With Evans, the name "G2" refers to the G2 model drumhead. The G2s are made to be batter heads, while the G1s are made to be resonant heads.

I don't think companies offer head packs with both batter and resonant heads, but I might be wrong.

They are just the batter heads only.
