Default early to mid 1960s Rogers Holiday "Swingtime" outfit

always been a vintage drum junkie and this is my new toy ...

Cleveland era drums all born together

the F on the paper tags signifies that the late Frank Walters assembled them

swan leg swivo stands and swiv-o-matic 395R bass drum pedal

Sta-Tite floor tom brackets

and of course a Dyna-Sonic snare drum

Rogers was one of the if not THE most innovative drum companies ever and their hardware still stands up to just about anything today ... as a matter of fact they are the reason that much of todays hardware exists

hope you enjoy a few photos

not sure Pete ... I mostly play Ks

I don't own any vintage cymbals though I'd like to change that

these things sound so good you almost forget about cymbals anyway ;)

Rogers are a set of drums that I've always been attracted to, but never owned any. Is that silver sealer on the inside? Who stole from who?

It's nice that the drums were all an original set. It just makes it more satisfying that way.

Nice score Tony. Gig set? Home set? Both?

First of all, you have no idea how disappointing it was that "in motion" didn't mean "getting rocked out on".

Second of all, that kit is absolutely intoxicating. It has an energy and beauty I can't get over; must be even better in person. If it was in front of me, I'd be trying to buy it as soon as I saw it and would get into finance trouble to make it happen.

I played a gig with a guy who had almost the exact same kit except his was a light pink sparkle I think (weird stage lighting) and not in such good shape. I still wanted that one too.

You carry a picture of that kit in your wallet to gaze at lovingly, right?

Gorgeous kit. Even Swivo hi-hat and bass pedal. Very cool.

Wow Tony “mint” man it looks brand new where did you find it-vacuum packed on the space station. Man it pops still - great find. Like two in a row isn’t it -didnt you find a pristine snare too recently?

Those look great!! It's nice to see that some of the older drums not only survived but were kept in such great shape. Congrats!

That is one nice kit. Red drums always sound better. Peace and goodwill.

The good thing 'bout Rogers kits now is the choice of cymbals and heads that weren't there then.. I recently put fibrskyn diplomats over ambassadors on the toms and ambassadors front and back on the bass drum, vintage ,Kcons, 602's it doesn't matter .. enjoy .. i play mine with a super 400 COB.
