Default I CANT FIGURE THIS OUT!!! HELP!!!

Who can adequately list the time signature of The Edge of Nowhere in this format:
it is NOT 4/4 and the subdivision is with the 8th note pulse instead of the quarter note. SO for all of you out there who are musically trained, or even if you just know about music theory in general, this is for you.

4/4, 4/4, 4/4, 4/4, 4/4, 4/4, 4/4, 4/4

But replacing the "4/4" with the appropriate time signature for each bar of the 8 bar loop that repeats throughout the song. This does not include the introduction, so only start counting when the drums come in.

Heres the link to the song i was given in class.. http://www.myspace.com/thejokerrmusi...aylist-1293175 (The song is called "Edge Of Nowhere") i cant for the life of me figure this out... i have tried everything.. i still cant do it. any help would be greatly appreciated.

A quick count of the intro (the part before the drums and vocals) gave me something like this:

6/8, 4/8, 6/8, 2/8, 6/8, 4/8, 6/8, 3/8
6/8, 4/8, 6/8, 2/8, 6/8, 4/8, 6/8, 3/8 (and then a slight break of about one beat before the drums come in)

Maybe that can give you a starting point? I'm not sure it's correct, but the accented notes seemed to point in that general direction.

After the drums come in, it seems to change a little though (I only listened to the first few repeats of the pattern; it's a tiring tune to try and follow along). The first first two run-throughs seemed to go like this:

6/8, 4/8, 6/8, 2/8, 6/8, 4/8, 6/8, 3/8
6/8, 4/8, 6/8, 2/8, 6/8, 4/8, 6/8, 2/8 <-- the second repeat of the pattern ends with a bar of 2/8, not 3/8

6/8, 4/8, 6/8, 2/8, 6/8, 4/8, 6/8, 3/8
6/8, 4/8, 6/8, 2/8, 6/8, 4/8, 6/8, 4/8 <-- ends on a bar of 4/8 instead of 3/8, keeping the total number of beats consistent over four repeats of the basic pattern.
