the fill at 1:35.....i can tell that it is a pure rudimental fill, but he seems to play so many different accents to make it groove, any help?

Sixtuplets starting on beat 3 (caps are the accents, and you can figure out what drums they're on):

r r L r l l - b b R L b b - R l l r r L - r r L R l l - r r l r r l - r r b r r l - R

If I was developing this sort of thing, I would work on paradiddle-diddle inversions, especially RllrrL, substituting BD for hands occasionally. You can get similar ideas through some Syncopation methods. Dave Weckl used to do a lot of that lick R l l b b R L (sixtuplet plus release) - used to turn up pretty often.

There is no fill at 1:35.

There is one fill at 1:29 which is a Paradiddle-diddle, another fill at 1:38 which is exactly like written out by toddbishop.

The one at 1:49 is a blushda / flam drag.

THANK YOU! I've always wondered what that fill was. Now, to the practice-mobile!
