Default New Tama Gear

Tama's posted their new 2015 gear on the Web, which includes a new Star zebrawood snare drum and new Star walnut drum kits (with some pretty cool finishes).

They have also gone back to the painted badges and wood vents, I believe, for the Starclassic Bubinga and Maple lines, and the SC B/B kits have new finishes and, finally, 8x12 tom options (instead of just 7x12 and 9x12).

To coincide with Silverstar birch, they've reintroduced the Superstar name with maple shells and the same lug/mounting system as the Silverstars.

As others have noted, Peter Erskine is now with Tama (as is Billy Cobham, once again), and both are using Star Bubinga--with Erskine using the Sunny Yellow finish!

Default Re: New Tama Gear

The zebra wood Star snare has been out for some time and originally released exclusively for the European market. Sounds like it may now be available worldwide.
