Default Hilarious moment playing along to my own CD

Hi guys, hope you are all safe and well.

I have recently gotten back into the "drum thing", including regular, daily practice.

I have included into my routine some time playing to CDs

Anyways, one of the CDs happens to be one of my old bands.

How embarrassing it was to find I couldn't keep up with my own drumming!

It is a straight forward shuffle with NO ghost notes and a quarter note at 135bpm

I was all over the place.

I must have been in shape back then!!

It is kind of weird you know.....listening to things you COULD do but not now!!
It's a trap!, It's a trap!....we can't stand firepower of that magnitude! (Admiral Ackbar)

Default Re: Hilarious moment playing along to my own CD

The exact same thing happened to me.

I tried to play along with a recording of myself playing 40 years ago and I could not figure out what I was doing at the time and how come it sounded so good.
( I still can't figure it out )
