Desperate need of some help with a new bass drum hoop!

Hey everybody!

I have a Pearl EXR Export (Sparkle Gun Finish) Drumset, Somebody broke into my bands jam room and stole a bunch of equipment and also damaged my kit

the shell is okay, very minimal damage, but the 22'' drumhoop is destroyed

tried calling every music store in Montreal, but none of them carry any drum hoops (they would have to order) and if they did order it would cost me 80$+

now heres my situation,

either i buy my original hoop for 105$ from ebay or i buy the original bass drum NEW for 400$

does anybody know of cheap alternative with fast shipping?

How is it $105 (hoop) or $400 (drum)?
Is that the shipping and extra taxes/duty? The bass drum was only showing $259.

If the hoop is cracked, you could do the clamp and glue route and save money. If that's not possible, since the shell is not screwed up, and if you can live with the bit of damage (and not be driven nuts by it), I'd go for just the hoop myself.

the bass drum itself is 393$ because i live in canada. :$

If you're not gigging anytime soon, I'd just take a step back, relax, and order a new hoop. If you get the new bass drum, you'll eventually get a new hoop anyway for the broken one. Unless you're eventually going to go with two bass drums (a popular topic today).
