Ambassador Heads - Crack

YEA CHAD SMITH!

Ok to answer your question is hard because the "crack" in a snare comes from the depth and size of the snare itself. Chad likes to use short sizes: 14x5, 14x4. So, if you have a similar size, then I would recommend a Remo Coated Ambassador-X for s sustained crack, or a Coated Emperor for a more defined crack. Also, that crack sound comes from tightening up your snares pretty high,

Happy drumming.

Coated ambassador with tight tuning and the snare wires tight as well. Use an ambassador snare side for the....um....snare side. Tight tuning all around. Any buzz can be adjusted by loosing or tightening the wires a little bit as you go. Good luck with your sound.

Its all tuning. If you play in different rooms you need to tune to the room, if your in the same room all the time head choice may be the dominante factor, but the same head tuned the same will sound different in different rooms.
