i was a big Stereophonics fan when they emerged at the end of the 90's. His reputaion as an understated player always seemed to me unfair and undeserved. During his stint with the band ( their 1st 4 albums featured his work iirc) his playing couldnt have been a more perfect fit to Kelly Jones's knack for great melody.
a fantastic example of a solid drummer serving the song. Like one of his idols, Phill Rudd, he knew the meaning of the 2 and 4 and could drive a rock song with the best of them imo.
