Thumb drive too big?

I don't get excited about everyday items, but this is too cool to keep under the radar.

I know that USB thumb drives get smaller, cheaper, and have higher capacities, but here's a serious design change for the better - Verbatim Stor 'n' Stay drive, small enough to leave in without snapping off. Here it is compared to a smallish Lexar drive:

It has a nice, low-profile on my Roland SPD-SX:

Amazon probably has the best price on these, the 4GB is 7.99 and they have other sizes.

That's it.

Amazing! I remember spending well north of $100 for a 256MB drive not more than 10 years ago (if my memory serves me well, which it does not from time to time).

Yes, it's a nice design, I just purchased a Microsoft wireless mouse for my wife's lab top computer she recieved at Christmas and the USB thumb drive is exactly like yours. No risk of breakind the drive, very neat indeed. :))

It's all about local file servers! Although, I admit not a terrible useful solution in this instance...
