Sonor vintage series

Here they are! Been playing them a lot lately. I have had them a little while but just got around to posting pictures.

20x14 - warm and punchy. Very focused sound and powerful.
12x8 - One of m favorites. So far I like it tuned higher or lower the best. Medium still works.
14x12 - This little guy gets lower than some 16x16's I have played. Getting it tuned low makes it rumble. Tuned high it gives you that "Gretschy" sound.

The set overall is simple, classy, sounds great and has great tuning range. For the drummer on the go the sizes are perfect. I had more trouble getting in and out of gigs with my 22x18. This 20x14 is the ticket. I also think with this series that you could get away more with un-miced gigs than some other series. The 9 ply shells really project.

Again just been busy lately. My friends from Germany were visiting me in the USA!! Plus had a Florida trip. Anyway will likely be getting the matching snare sometime after my SQ2 shows up.

Great looking kit, I really dig those sizes too.

Cool.
Can you compare the sound to your original Teardrops?

Would you say they are just like the medium beech, but with rounded edges and thicker rims?

And how would you compare the sound to the Prolites?

Wow, super classy looking kit there! Post a recording if you get a chance!

just gorgeous !! really love everything about these new kits. i am imaginig the 24 x 14 kick sounds SICK.

Are you a sonor artist or did you pay $3000 for 3 drums?

Sweet looking kit, that series has intrigued me since their announcement.
